Title: Smilies - what changes would you make?
Post by: Matthew on March 23, 2011, 02:54:51 PM: 1. Which Smilies does CathInfo need (describe):

2. Which Smilies should be dropped, to make room for them? (Ones you never use, ones you hate to see, ones you think are stupid, etc.)
Click on them and insert them in your post, rather than describing them (it's easier that way).

Post by: ServusSpiritusSancti on March 23, 2011, 03:03:33 PM: Unfortunetly, my computer won't let me post this icon, but it is an icon of a smiley playing a violin in sort of a sarcastic way. It is a classic icon, makes me laugh every time! You should add something like that if you can, Matthew!

This icon right here needs to go as people rarely use it: :headbanger:

And maybe we should think about removing this one to keep roscoe from using it so much (he's the only one who uses it)

In all seriousness, the hook em' horns one is the only one that NO DOUBT should go in my opinion.

I like the party time one (even though believe it or not I don't like popcorn). I like the St. Patrick's Day icons, but Matthew will change them back soon.

On second thought, if you simply used that smilie in place of the smiling one (above), I can see how I might mis-interpret you -- it's happened before!

This is my favorite but I don't often have a chance to use it:

The angry ones become self-fulfilling prophecy. You post an angry smilie and then you work yourself up into anger. Same with the pothead smiley.

The main one I like is the guy who looks like he's innocently whistling, like "I didn't just say that, did I?" You can also use it for an "Oh-ka-a-a-y-y-y" effect when someone says something weird.

A blushing smiley would be helpful. A smiley rubbing its hands with fiendish delight. I'll find some others but I have an appointment at the moment.

The cussing one is not needed in my opinion, nor is the light saber one. The only reason I would remove the "hitler" one is because you never know when some troublemaker one day might apply it to another member, which wouldn't be charitable.

There are some really cool big scary monsters that walk, the great big round ones of various races, angels, flowers, I love them all. If I ever became smart enough to post real pictures I could give up on smilies.

I only use this guy :ape: out of desperation. I hate this one :headbanger: :good-shot:
