Is it me or are some person's signatures a bit too big. I mean, we could probably quote the Douay-Rheims if we wanted to... heck the Haydock commentary as well. But I always thought that signatures were supposed to be simple one or two liners... It seems there are a lot of extra long ones here lately, and it sort of makes it annoying scrolling through threads...

I'm not picking on anyone, or trying to start an argument, but does anyone else have this feeling?

And also quoting every paragraph from a long post you are replying to. We can all scroll to the top and read it for ourselves.

Not that any of these things are life or death issues.

Agreed! I was going to say something about that as well. Its okay to quote the last comment that you are replying to, but unless absolutely necessary, quoting a 10 paragraphs worth of writing is quite distracting. But you're right they're not death issues :sign-surrender:

Spouse of Jesus and I have pictures in our signatures. That is also acceptable.

I used to make signature pictures, but i don't have the program to do that anymore. I do have a signature of Thomas Aquinas that nobody's using if anyone wants to grab it. First come first serve.

Maybe I'll try that. Someone said my signature is creepy. The Msgr. Knox rendition of the verse is even "creepier" I think.

I think signatures should reflect one's personality or be a summary of one's values and concerns. However, putting the whole Psalter as the signature might be going too far...

I used to have my flag in my sig until some nasty man blocked URLs in sigs.

Now I have entered in to a siggy stalemate.

I'd ask you to pray that he may see the errors of his ways and that my dear flag may be restored unto me. But since it is not neccessary for my salvation I will be content to watch, hope and from time to time, sit alone in silence with the light off and cry a little.

I'm not here to read people's signature blocks and to be honest, if they are more than one or two lines I would never read them anyway.

And yes those who have a thesis as their footer just make threads a whole lot more painful to read. :read-paper:

This could be your friend (it's mine for sure) :

Cathinfo -> Control Panel -> Edit Preferences -> Topic Options, "View Signatures?"

Disable the latter option. Then hit Submit button. No signatures anymore.
