  • Many companies profit from Christmas yet will not  display Christmas commercials.  Most of their customers are Christians.  Maybe it is time to boycott companies with atheist commercials and agendas.
May God bless you and keep you

  • Here in the Pacific N.W. Shopko has, in the past, shown the true Christmas spirit, with their choice of products, Christmas cards, decorations et al.

Not sure if Shopko is in your area, but if it is, check them out!   Not perfect but who is these days.
    Please pray for my soul.

  • I think the secularization of Christmas into the "Holiday Season" has accelerated in the last 10 years.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think it was Target than forbade their employees from saying Merry Christmas a few years ago.

Last year a young girl-clerk said "Happy Holidays!" as she was handing me my change and I asked her, "What Holiday are you talking about?"  She stared at me like a deer in headlights so I quickly said, "Oh, you mean Christmas?"

If someone says it to me this year I'm going to say "And happy Kwanzaa to you too!" :fryingpan:

  • Hanukkah is a movable holiday and could be as early as before Thanksgiving.

No one celebrates Kwanzaa - it's a holiday created by a Black Panther communist as an attempt at Pan-Africanism. Really, the only holiday is Christmas. Even the non-Christians celebrate Christmas. The Jєωs have a Christmas tree right after their menorahs. Just say Merry Christmas.
Remember O most gracious Virgin Mary...

That's my point.  Maybe they'll stop and think about what they said and why.

I don't share your opinion.  I think the others are celebrating an annual "Gift-Giving Holiday"  If they were celebrating Christmas they would not be Jєωs, or pagans, or any other flavor on non-Christians, only Christians celebrate Christmas.

Everybody else just give gifts because it's a habit.

  • I think that is what JezusDeKoning meant, those "others" won't admit Christmas however the gift giving is God's clever way of them giving and thinking of the birth of Christ no matter what they want to say about it.

  • Imagine living in a country where people got as excited about our Savior's birth as they do for those silly Star Wars movies.
