Yeah, that compliation video is staggering.
I don't think this can be explained as a plankton blooms.
This reminds me of the many Crying Statues of the Blessed Virgin.

Indeed there's a logical explanation for any omen.
Because everything the LOGOS (= Alpha and Omega) does or allows to happen, is LOGical.

These omen-like pictures (with water turning blood-red) are only reflecting the situation of our present time. The time is extremely ripe for a 2nd Flood (just not with water this time as promised by God, but with fire for example, as Bishop Williamson says).

And these pictures are only reflecting the upcoming things. That's normal. Just take a look at history which always is salvation history, and so it also includes punishments coming from God or allowed by God, and mostly they've been announced by natural spectacles or similar because it's God's nature. As said, our forefathers were very sensible about such omens, because in contrast to our time they knew that God controls everything.

I'm not confining our discussion to just this single photo posted by Ascent, although it speaks a pretty clear language. But I'm observing omen-like natural spectacles for years now. And their number is increasing. Don't you notice it? I'm sure Ascent, Elisabeth, Incredulous, Rowsofvoices, etc are!

We can be sure the pictures will get more intensive the closer we come to the point of the Chastisement including an extremely bloody World War III. Most people won't see it even then because they don't want to.

For example, one such omen-like appearance was the red light mentioned by Our Lady in Fatima which would indicate "another war" breaking out during the pontificate of Pius XI (XI aka 11. He died on 10th February 1939).
This red light was seen on the sky in the night of 25th January 1938 in many parts of Europe back then. Since I am European I asked some elders who indeed confirmed it.

Bishop Williamson with his clear mind and immense knowledge on religion, history and culture is pretty clear about such omens and also understands the Rakovsky interrogation done in the night from 25th to 26th January 1938 in Moscow :
