Slip of the truth
« on: March 26, 2010, 03:26:58 PM »
One of my few reasons for ever watching anything related to the mainstream media, is perhaps my deep enjoyment whenever they accidentally say something stupendously true... even though it runs totally contrary to everything they believe.

This is one of those.

I was over at the history channel's website (history? ha!), when I happened upon this video. While touting the evolution crowd's dead-horse idea of an "ice age" they accidentally come right out and say something hilariously true. It's one of those rich moments where anyone with a good sense of humor just has to laugh hysterically with the irony... remembering that to these people, the idea of this flood business is off limits.

Here's where the video is at.

I mean... can you imagine? A flood?  :roll-laugh2:

History Channel always spews lies when they bring up the the Catholic religion in their docuмentaries.

I don't doubt it. It's true of pretty much 99% of the media in general. Ditto for history in general, too.

Once you're out of touch with truth on even one point, you'll miss the boat on lots of other things, too. Needless to say, anytime I look at anything in the mainstream media, I keep this in mind. My "fascination" with the history channel, for instance, extends chiefly to things they can't really mess up like... "how carpeting is made." Or my visits to a certain archaeology site (more lies than truth, probably) to simply see/read about what was found, and draw the conclusions for myself.

Ah well... some people do crossword puzzles to waste time when bored. I look at things like that.
