If you noticed, many faith-based churches, new order, took Grant $$$ for restoration.  I know this is state side, but I would guess, it is also happening in other countries.

We don't have a say in it, is what I am thinking.  Look what happened to St. Mary's in Rhode Island.

Well, I suspect it's in better hands owned by the state.  There's no doubt that the Novus Ordo would wish to modernize, whereas the State might be more interested in restoring it to its historical state.

If it was Poland or Hungary or the like, yes. But sadly France, being the demonic socialist hellhole it is, decided they want to modernise the spire when they rebuild it.

I disagree.  If enough people sign/protest this modern plan, whoever has the final say  will have
to realize if people don't want modern it's going to hurt them dollar wise.  They depend
heavily on tourist $$$$'s, so strictly from tourist money lost they'll have to think long
and hard about what actually brought the money to Paris before the fire.
