The types and their backers-part of goal is to deuman people, turn them into beasts and esp, black community.......Black men in movies, music nd public perception are always portrayed as little more then sex thugs.....

Blacks are doing it to themselves with people like this......no nobility of  prior generations of black artists.....

even some black commentators have noted this, the perception and portrayal of their own in this light.......

Black men are unwilling to pull themselves out of this mess. It's fashionable and attractive to the typical air-headed woman of today for them to be thugs. There are people who even ridicule success in the black community. But then again, the black women who raise these men are not really helping and are a major part of the problem. There seems to be a prevailing attitude among many black women that, rendered in a more euphemistic way, ends up reading "black men are worthless".  

In effect, my people aren't succeeding because they don't really want success. Until we want success as a whole, we will never get anywhere. Until young black boys want to stop acting as though and letting people treat them as though they are worthless, they will never get anywhere.

However, let me say this. "Black men" in North America are "my people" in the sense that we share the same race but ethnically we are not really all that similar. African-Americans and the Islanders are culturally different in work ethic, as those from the islands (which is where I land ethnically) and even those from Africa who immigrate to North-America tend to work much harder than the African-Americans born here. My family is full of people who are hard-workers, although unfortunately devoid of Catholicity and they are all "black". Being black may have hindered you from being successful half a century ago, but times have changed since then. We have more opportunities now and I feel as though we are not using them as well as we can. We know what the problem is but many of us are unwilling to remedy it.

You wouldn't believe how many times I've been accused of "acting white" for simply speaking proper English and having an extensive vocabulary.

True on many points

I have noticed that black people in the Carib, Europe,etc are much different. So, too, Africans from Liberia, Nigeria, etc......

A mind set in the USA (maybe or maybe not Canada) keeps people down and angry.

I have found that older black folks are friendly and more open then younger ones-and many of the old were in the midst of the tumult of the 60's and before!!

The single-parent black home is a travesty and with long ranging effects........partially, by design from  :wink:

A lot of stories I could share from my old LEO days, will let that go...

some of hardest workers were those non-USA black folks I have met and many of them have expressed distrust and neg for USA black folks.....

My mother's side of the family continually expresses much antipathy towards Haitians, Africans and African-Americans. At the same time, the negativity towards Africans and Haitians is much more poignant simply because Africans and Haitians are much more common in Canada and the UK (2 of the most easily accessible places to travel to for people in the Caribbean). I don't know very many people on my father's side so I can't really speak for them.

My mother expressly describes Africans and Haitians as "lazy" and I'm sure part of the antipathy is because of their known practicing of Voodoo. My mother works at a nursing home, so her experience of such people is limited for the most part. There are many Africans and Haitians working wherever it is she works, and I'm assuming the people there are the ones fueling her beliefs.

A second time that you have missed the boat.

I had and have no anger, only surprise that someone would see SENSUAL and SATANIC in the title and be too stupid to be forewarned by that. If I made a "mistake," it was in assuming that every adult on this forum, especially one who has been patting himself on the back about how well he speaks English, would have the perspicacity to understand exactly what SENSUAL and SATANIC mean.

If you want to bicker about it, rave on. You have the entire field.  I think you are a prig and a buffoon for complaining about something so patently obvious.
