Rules for Fraternal Correction

    • It is sometimes difficult to know when or whether we have a duty to adminish sinners.

    Toward that end, a friend of mine made the attached chart which I found very helpful, and wanted to share.

    It was based on a sermon found in The Pulpit Orator series from the early 20th century.

    • So if I understand this right, you wouldn't admonish the sinner that knows the action is a sin?

    For example, if family members are fallen away from the Faith and not attending Mass, you might mention it and leave them be? Not remind them that they will go to Hell for straying from the Faith?
