    • I have not read it, but if its passages in Luke 1:28 and 1:46, among others, say anything like "highly favoured one"  and "My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord", respectfully, rather than the true translation, "full of grace" and "My soul doth magnify the Lord", then that Bible should be avoided like the other water downed and mistranslated Bibles out there.

    • It is a modern language translation.  it isn't going to say "Doth"This version has an Imprimatur, I believe before the Council.  There is nothing really wrong with it that I can see.

    • I have one and I think it is fine for personal study, and for those of us who need an easily readable version it is far better than other English translations.  I also keep a copy of the paperback DR by St. Benedict Press for comparison.

    some of foot notes troubling, dont have a copy handy to give examples, but the word changes noted above by others have seen, I cross out and write what hte DRV-C has
