  • I have to admit that I didn't see this one coming. It is pitiful what they've done to those kids in the news video in the link below.

Which Woman Should Replace Andrew Jackson on $20 Bill?

Move over, Andrew Jackson: a new national campaign aims to replace the former president with a fresh face on the $20 bill. The "Women on 20s" movement is going viral, with 80,000 people heading online to pick from potential candidates like suffragist Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Congresswoman Patsy Mink, and abolitionist Sojourner Truth.

"It's a small symbol, but there are millions of bills that are going from hand to hand every day," said campaign founder Barbara Ortiz Howard. She hopes to put a woman's portrait on the $20 by 2020 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of women's right to vote.

At one Seattle school, the campaign has become part of a research project for fifth-graders like Jane Stauss. "I think this is a big step, putting a woman on commonly used currency, because it gives them the glory I think they deserve."

The list of candidates at womenon20s.org will be winnowed to four finalists. Then, the campaign will put together a petition in hopes of catching the attention of President Obama. If 100,000 people sign, the White House will have to respond.

  • If they go through with it, I vote for Aunt Jemima.

  • My Andrew Jackson-adoring neocon brother will no doubt be outraged by this, but I will remind him (as I often do to no effect) that this kind of feminist insanity is merely the logical outcome of more than two centuries of application of the principles of Fɾҽҽmαsσɳɾყ, of which diabolical fraternity Jackson himself (like so many other American presidents) was a member.

  • The patriarchy keepin' the women down with this male only money. I guess the feminist weren't happy enough with the Susan B. Anthony and Sacagawea coins.
File this under first world problems. Americans aren't happy until they can find issue with something and injustice under every rock.

This has nothing to do with sexist attitudes of Americans. Women are not featured on money in America because America is a Democracy and never had a female president. European countries that had a monarchy have featured women on money  for many years.

  • They could replace Andrew Jackson with a picture of Satan and it would be a lateral move.
Stir up within Thy Church, we beseech Thee, O Lord, the Spirit with which blessed Josaphat, Thy Martyr and Bishop, was filled, when he laid down his life for his sheep: so that, through his intercession, we too may be moved and strengthen by the same Spir

  • I would love to see Betty Frieden, Gloria Steinman, Bella Abzug or some other obnoxious Jєω woman libber on the $20.

Maybe some folks would wake up.

  • As someone with Cherokee blood, I say replacing him with a mangy dog would be an improvement.
"This principle is most certain: The non-Christian cannot in any way be Pope. The reason for this is that he cannot be head of what he is not a member. Now, he who is not a Christian is not a member of the Church, and a manifest heretic is not a Christian, as is clearly taught by St. Cyprian, St. Athanasius, St. Augustine, St. Jerome, and others. Therefore, the manifest heretic cannot be Pope." -- St. Robert Bellarmine

Don't scoff, it will be a Negro, a Jєω, or an atheist, without doubt, and the common folk will love it.

Who's scoffing? I am of the "common folk", aren't you?

    J. Paul used "common folk" when he meant "those still sleepwalking".

I like "Catholic folk" better than "common folk".
