  • This is a recap of how my evening went with relatives I rarely see, it was a 50th anniversary

uncle 1: I had to tell him his idea of cremation for when he passes away is a no no, he responded tht all the paperwork was done already

cousin's wife doesn't believe the bible, outspoken, doesn't believe a God would judge anyone on the basis of what religion they were brought up in..my mother who is novus order  catholic agreeing with her...my idea that God will judge us in he after life is apparently extremist

cousins giving condolences to my wife in the manner of saying..is your husband ok, are you worried
aunt who is a practising catholic (novus order) saying the Jєωs believe in God so they will be saved, she saw the pope with them and apparently their salvation is secure
at the end of the day the wife isn't to pleased that I'm always the centre of attention ( I disagree, I hardly spoke to anyone the last hour) , that's she's felt to be pitied for having me as a husband
parents who aren't comfortable of me discussing these issues with relatives...all in all a very productive day I would say...my question is ; is there any faith left in this world ? outside lets say people from this forum and a minority of trad Catholics around the world..my conclusion is that no, there is hardly anyone with any true faith left..we must be in the end times

I agree. Outside of my trad Catholic chapel and trad internet forums, I do not see the faith.

  • Been there and done it with my family.  Same! The enemy is doing a great job of brain washing or put it this way; programming!  It is not the end times, it is the end of evil times that comes first.  chapter 12 of Daniel states what will happen when the Precious Blood on this earth, ends.

  • Take heart. It could be worse...like living with an unbeliever under the same roof. Most people have not the spirit of God in them and it has always been so. See for example, the Jєωs who saw Our Lord walking among us, and blindly still denied Him. But everything is done for a purpose. In God’s plan of predestination (Catholic, not Calvinist), the reprobation of some is preordained for the good of the Elect, and this for the greater good of the whole.

"If the world hate you, know ye, that it hath hated me before you.  If you had been of the world, the world would love its own: but because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you." (John 15:18-19)
If anyone says that true and natural water is not necessary for baptism and thus twists into some metaphor the words of our Lord Jesus Christ" Unless a man be born again of water and the Holy Spirit" (Jn 3:5) let him be anathema.

I have relatives who will barely even talk to me. They know I am right and can't deal with it. Over a month ago I mailed lots Fatima information to my aunt who is a Vatican2 Catholic.

It seems as if most people want to go to Hell and who am I to try to stop them when they want to go there so badly.

It doesn't really bother me that people find my views extreme, I would just rather not here it from the wife that I'm selfish for bringing these issues up, that I don't care about her feelings etc....I forgot to mention that one of my cousins argued that Hitler is not in hell , was forgiven...next time to appease my wife I guess I should just say to these type of people , yes you're right, hail Satan.

.as for the cremation uncle I have no idea what their reasoning is...it puzzles me how people who don't put much thought into their salvation are nevertheless concerned about being buried..maybe they they have  a fear of waking up in a coffin alive..beats me

  • Cremation costs so little and is better for the economy?  In Scotland, no one will be buried, unless they already have a lot paid for.  Everyone is to be cremated there.

By the way, help me in my memory.  There is a green solution and cremation technique and it has a name, can't recall.  But it reminds me of "Solent Green" movie.

If you live under the same roof as the unbeliever then you have the opportunity to live the holiness that God calls you to not just for yourself but for that other person too.

What is the issue about cremation ?- Spreading the ashes ?

From my experience cremation is chosen mainly because it costs less than a regular burial.

    From the Code of Canon Law;

1176 §3. The Church earnestly recommends that the pious custom of burying the bodies of the deceased be observed; nevertheless, the Church does not prohibit cremation unless it was chosen for reasons contrary to Christian doctrine.

You quoted the NEW Novus Ordo, New Order the new Code of Canon Law (1983)
What do you expect, Cremation is a Freemasonic "thing", of course they allow it.

    Yes, of course they do.

The Catholic Church's law not only forbids Christian burial to those who are cremated, it forbids Christian burial to those who die with instructions to cremate*, whether or not they were actually cremated.

*That is, instructions which were never redacted or withdrawn.
"Be kind; do not seek the malicious satisfaction of having discovered an additional enemy to the Church... And, above all, be scrupulously truthful. To all, friends and foes alike, give that serious attention which does not misrepresent any opinion, does not distort any statement, does not mutilate any quotation. We need not fear to serve the cause of Christ less efficiently by putting on His spirit". (Vermeersch, 1913).

  • Haven't had relatives for the last 40 years - they all knew we were crazy, old fashioned, radical, fools and fanatics. If I bumped into any one of my cousins or aunts etc. I would not even know it. Sad as that may sound, it's better that way - I feel for you gooch.
