  • Is implementing the Social Reign of Christ the King equivalent to what the Muslims do in their own countries with Sharia law except that the Reign of Christ is the Catholic religion instead of Islam?

Were the Catholic states of the past that did so equivalent to the Muslim states under Sharia law?

A good example of the difference is that a Catholic state would allow children to marry who they wish, whereas in a Muslim state they would have to have their parents approval.

There are many other differences, for example, pertaining to divorce and remarriage, abortion, contraception.

In a Catholic state the laws would be stricter.

  • People who are neither Muslims nor Catholics would probably see them as pretty much the same.  I don't see how a Catholic could, however.
Stir up within Thy Church, we beseech Thee, O Lord, the Spirit with which blessed Josaphat, Thy Martyr and Bishop, was filled, when he laid down his life for his sheep: so that, through his intercession, we too may be moved and strengthen by the same Spir

  • I don't think the Catholic Church should implement anything in the same way that Islam implements Sharia Law.

I think that the Catholic Church should impose its agenda through the media however. As opposed to fusing Church Law and National Law.

  • In a properly ordered society, God's law is superior to man's law.  Man's law should not in any way contradict God's law and it should enforce God's law.

In theory, the Muslims have it right and the prots have it wrong.  Neither are worshiping the true God, so having it right is still wrong.
