I don't know what kind of website is Seiyaku. It seems like a Protestant site.

Hasn't the cross used as a crozier by the Holy Father always been a bare cross? at least before and after John Paul II?

I never have seen this type of cross with a lamb.

With modernist, always expect the radical change from what was
traditional.

The real question is what harm this is doing to the salvation of
souls.

Francis has no cross on his vestments, that can be seen in that picture.
Also, Francis has no cross on his mitre.
This is clearly intentional.
There is a deliberate absence of any Christian symbols.
Ask yourself: Why?
Why would a man who claims to be a Catholic, avoid the Cross?

Actually, Pope Francis is using the Papal staff used by popes Pius XII and John XXIII, which is similar to the papal staff used by Pope Pius IX.Pope Benedict XVI revived this papal staff during his pontificate, a vast improvement over the ugly bent crucifix used by Paul VI and John Paul II

Starting from His Holiness Pope Innocent III, the popes in the Middle Ages used a papal staff with three bars, the three bars representing  the Holy Trinity: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, the Three Divine Persons of the One True God.

..........
Were my last two posts in this thread simply ignored? I am not fond of Pope Francis at all, but at least he has better taste than Pope Paul VI and Pope John Paul II with their disturbing bent crucifix. At least for now.
