Hello CathInfo Family!

Straight from the book "JPII And His Cardinals" is a REAL picture of our current Holy Father!

He doesn't look so nice and cuddly here, does he??

No, he does not look cuddly. He looks like a cardinal. and a much thinner cardinal, at that.

Thanks for posting this picture. He looks italian and in that picture and he looks dignified to me. Actually refreshing, because Novus Ordo often makes priests, bishops and cardinals seem inappropriately undignified/"accessible." As if there is "NO" difference between them and anyone else.

Except that isn't how he presented himself just days ago. That seemed more like the "accessible" NO type.

Looks like the 80's. Not all of the traditional garb was cast aside by the 80's, and it is also put on for show sometimes these days. He still has that ugly pectoral cross.

I think it looks like an outtake of a photo shoot.

The text mentions 1992 and I think it may be when he was elevated to Cardinal in 2001.

I agree, however I can just imagine now their thinking...It seems there is a tiny image of a lamb, next "pretender" will change it to a goat, and so on, and so on, and so on.

Can't see it to well, perhaps it is a goat already!

Interestingly enough, there is a photo of John Paul II using the three barred papal staff
