  • I didn't like Father Robinson's defense of Maria Valtorta.

He uses the terms "modern Church" and "mainstream Catholicism" in his sermon--which, as you all know, I don't like at all.

I too am intrigued by Bishop Fellay's "information that he doesn't want to make public."

What's refreshing is that he does acknowledge that perhaps not all was well in the Church before Vatican II, hinting at a certain empty pharasaism in the spirituality of some Catholics.  V2 didn't happen in a vacuum.

  • Some of what he's saying could be taken as a subtle jab at EENS.

no jab at it, but how to interpret and apply it....knowing medicine out of a book in one thing, how to apply treatment and in each unique case is another...

For SSPX to take a subtle jab at those who have corrupted EENS is like a leper who infected his wife taking a "subtle jab" at her when her nose falls off.  This is nothing but to add insult to injury.

Readers: Please IGNORE all my postings here. I was a recent convert and fell into errors, even heresy for which hopefully my ignorance excuses. These include rejecting the "rhythm method," rejecting the idea of "implicit faith," and being brieflfy quasi-Jansenist. I also posted occasions of sins and links to occasions of sin, not understanding the concept much at the time, so do not follow my links.
