Does this signal a policy change between the Vatican and the US administration, or does one take the article at face value..

There is just as much noise that she is Bush's mistress. I did take it that the Vatican does not want to appear to support the fast coming expansion of the war.

So you believe that the "snub" was a message that the Vatican is not pleased with the occupation situation and the threats of Iranian action?? Is it to become official policy in your opinion or just an excuseable way to make a point??

There seems to been much progress in relations between the US and the Vatican since Bush took office, do you believe that this is eroding??

Hi, Dennis. I am a Catholic; no one knows what Vandaler is. Except that he's stubborn, but so am I. In fact, the only difference is that I'm right and he's wrong.

Unfortunately, I don't pay any attention to the Vatican or Caligula. They're both nuts and could jump any direction. The one thing that I can guarantee you is that taking them at face value would be a mistake. Even the "pope" is political, and you know how politicians are. They go where their best interests lie.
