  • I know of somebody who has been lying to his father for years hiding his masturbation habit. Eventually he came upon a soiled underware with semen from him. Mother found it and reported it to father. The kid is about 19 years old and a trad. His father tells him he is going to go to Hell if he continues.  The kid keeps going to different NO priests confessing his sin since he was ashamed of telling the same priest that he had fallen into masturbation again. Also to avoid suspicion of his parents when not receiving communion.  he was caught red handed. Was the father right in being firm on him?

    What should I tell him.

  • What should you tell who? The Father? Nothing. The father is telling the truth about going to Hell.

  • You should show the kid this thread. He'll be so mortally embarrassed that he'll never touch himself again!  :laugh2:

NAd how do you know this?  His actions are objectively sinful, but you have no idea what the state of his soul is.

Tell him to keep going to confession and to not give in to despair.

    Sigismund..

When I said he was telling the truth about going to Hell, what I meant was that he was telling the truth in saying that that habit will lead him to Hell if he persists in it, which is true. I was certainly not presuming to know the state of his soul.
