The fact that God is actually in control of what goes on, not them.

  • Can't argue on Kepha, But there are more down to earth explanation.

No one ideology is shared by enough brotherhood of nation to take over the rest of the world by force.

Also, any empire has a siege, a center... and the further you move from that center, independance and corruption occurs.

Those two reasons alone account historically why empires where only able to extend so much.  There is likely other reasons to.

  • Good points, but now we have technology to "shrink the world" as it were (with satellites, phones, computers, remote cameras, and other technology).

As for your question, "what is their achilles heel" that might be the wrong question. It's true that there is a supernatural answer: "The devil has already lost". But that might be the only answer.

Perhaps only a few people can't reverse the trend of human nature to want an easy, passive life, with a bad guy to hate, your own country to root for, constant war = peace, constant lies and propaganda = truth, etc. (just like the book 1984 -- which I hope you've read, Vandaler). Look at how few people are interested in figuring out the ugly truth at all! Most people "don't want to think about" anything unpleasant. That will play right into the hands of the baddies, and there's nothing we can do to wake THOSE people up. We can only reach the people who spend some time online, and are half-interested in finding out the truth. You can't make people love and want the truth.

In short, we can't exactly fix this thing on a "human level". That's the problem with guys like Hitler. He wanted to fix up the world on a "human level" -- let's populate the world with Aryans, let's get rid of those Jєωs who have been causing trouble for centuries, and we better get rid of any competing authority such as the Catholic church. Oh, and we don't want our society to crumble from within, so we better deal with the ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖs as well.

It's a spiritual struggle, and it always has been. The "bad guys" are held together by a common hatred of the Catholic faith and the laws that God lays down for man -- though I'm sure there's a bit of selfishness in there, which will cause a bit of friction among themselves.

Still, all the prophecies say that the devil will snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. (Yes, I typed that correctly). Just when he thinks he's won, that will be his undoing. Look at what's happened in the past! You have the crucifixion, which was the closest the devil ever got to a victory (especially since mankind was at his lowest point meanwhile) -- but it was also his GREATEST loss ever. I think God's providence uses foreshadowing and better than any human author, writes a well structured story.

    God bless,

    Matthew

  • That is it. Jesus Christ is there downfall. They are all in it for themselves. They can work together for so long and then, due to pride, they have to fight over who is "top dog" Where do we get a good idea of this? The Tower of Babel. This I learned reading Solange Hertz. When Cain went out for his punishement, he had no remorse. He and his lineage continued to do everything against God and his plan. So, after the fall of his parents, Trinity start there with Cain what he does next down to the current "Wannabe World Leaders."

Well, Dawn, according to MY Bible, Cain and his progeny continued on, and at least one of them, Lamech, was ten times worse than Cain.  This went on until Noah, and then picked up again after the flood until Babel.  All those begats leave my head swirling, but bottom line is that we descended from a murderer, Cain, and seem to have a talent for murdering, enslaving, etc.  At least, those with that bent prevail periodically.

Only eight people survived the Flood.

Noah, his wife, and their three sons and their wives.

    Noah was descended from Seth.

We are all descended from Noah, and therefore Seth. Not Cain.

    Clare.

    Genesis 5.
    Quote
6 Seth also lived a hundred and five years, and begot Enos. 7 And Seth lived after he begot Enos, eight hundred and seven years, and begot sons and daughters. 8 And all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years, and he died. 9 And Enos lived ninety years, and begot Cainan. 10 After whose birth he lived eight hundred and fifteen years, and begot sons and daughters.

11 And all the days of Enos were nine hundred and five years, and he died. 12 And Cainan lived seventy years, and begot Malaleel. 13 And Cainan lived after he begot Malaleel, eight hundred and forty years, and begot sons and daughters. 14 And all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years, and he died. 15 And Malaleel lived sixty-five years, and begot Jared.

16 And Malaleel lived after he begot Jared, eight hundred and thirty years, and begot sons and daughters. 17 And all the days of Malaleel were eight hundred and ninety-five years, and he died. 18 And Jared lived a hundred and sixty-two years, and begot Henoch. 19 And Jared lived after he begot Henoch, eight hundred years, and begot sons and daughters. 20 And all the days of Jared were nine hundred and sixty-two years, and he died.

21 And Henoch lived sixty-five years, and begot Mathusala. 22 And Henoch walked with God: and lived after he begot Mathusala, three hundred years, and begot sons and daughters. 23 And all the days of Henoch were three hundred and sixty-five years. 24 And he walked with God, and was seen no more: because God took him. 25 And Mathusala lived a hundred and eighty-seven years, and begot Lamech.

26 And Mathusala lived after he begot Lamech, seven hundred and eighty-two years, and begot sons and daughters. 27 And all the days of Mathusala were nine hundred and sixty-nine years, and he died. 28 And Lamech lived a hundred and eighty-two years, and begot a son. 29 And he called his name Noe, saying: This same shall comfort us from the works and labours of our hands on the earth, which the Lord hath cursed. 30 And Lamech lived after he begot Noe, five hundred and ninety-five years, and begot sons and daughters.

31 And all the days of Lamech came to seven hundred and seventy-seven years, and he died. And Noe, when he was five hundred years old, begot Sem, Cham, and Japheth.
