you will know them by their fruits. Talking to protestants is often very "icky" for me. It is a a long story what I mean. But I realize it is not their fault completely (except that they do have free will)
I agree completely.
Protestantism denies Our Lord's principal work - the establishment of His Church.
And the way Protestants deny Our Lady's privileges and even speak of her in a dismissive, mocking manner is not only insulting but actually on the creepy side.
So yes, Protestantism is the work of the Devil.
[....] you will know them by their fruits. [....] what irritates me most about protestants is .. the ones who REFUSE to listen to anything we Catholics have to say. Even aside from my love of the Church, I cannot stand a closed minded person. That is a small minded person, a person full of himself. It's like "What? I know everything. who needs YOUR input?"
Sooo, when you, confident in your Catholic faith, are approached by, e.g., Mormons who are determined to suck you into 1 of the "temples" of their religion that's based on their additional books of less-than-2-centuries-old alleged "Holy Scriptures", you not only don't "REFUSE to listen", but even refuse to send them away (pronto), because you are equally determined to avoid the charge of being "close-minded"?oh brother. some people around here are on the constant look out for ways to show malice toward their fellow Christians.
Your post was pointless [.]
hackneyed saying it is but: can't say anything nice maybe you should[sic] say anything at all.
Not at all: You simply failed to understand it. I try to limit the time I spend in on-line forums, so I'm not going to write both a posting, and an abstract for noob readers. This ain't a refereed technical forum. But it also ain't a twit nor text-message forum, so the irony that your sentence was literally "pointless" does reflect on you (please note grammatical correction in quote).after the first few sentences of this, i decided i have better things to do than read this kind of stuff.
My posting raised the issue of if it's "closed minded", "small minded", and "full of himself" for a Protestant to "REFUSE to listen to anything we Catholics have to say", then what should readers think if (for purposes of discussion) we turn the tables? Is it ever acceptable for a Catholic to "REFUSE to listen to anything [those Protestants] have to say"? Or in your opinion, would such Catholics be "closed minded", "small minded", and "full of [them]sel[ves]"?
That should be "shouldn't say anything at all". But when you're a CathInfo noob of only 3 weeks' standing[†], so determined to inflate your postings-count on CathInfo by cranking them out at the rate of 7 per day, maybe it's too much for readers to expect that you could devote the wee bit of extra time needed to correctly word your own rebukes or insults?
