  • I use the St. Michael Prayer, Holy Water and Blessed Salt. I also have a rosary hanging from the end of each childs bed.
Last year at this time I also had a real house blessing done in the Traditional form. This was due to several of us seeing the same demon at night. That was too much and now things are calm.

  • The St. Benedict medal is supposed to be very powerful in this regard, but it's my understanding that originally, the blessing had to be done by someone in the order of St. Benedict or something... Anyhow, prior to the 1960's supposedly someone approved it's being blessed by just any priest, but... probably it would be better to obtain one blessed in the traditional way.

Not sure about the St. Benedict order thing, though. You should research it, and make certain who had to originally bless them. I would think that similarly, the Miraculous Medal of Our Lady would probably also help.

The Blessed Mother is, of course, one of the best helps, so the rosary is probably a very good idea! St. Michael also. (Use the original, long prayer?)

Of course, there's no substitute for a house blessing by a traditional priest. If the problems keep up, I'm sure the priest would also know what else you might do.

In the case of "ghosts" ... human souls who might be in purgatory in need of prayers... I've heard that there are some cases where after Masses were said or offered for a soul, the problem stopped.

But frankly, if one is having these kinds of problems, one really ought to consult a traditional priest. We may think we know what's best, or guess at what might work,  but... he could really tell you for certain what are the best things you can do.
I renounce any and all of my former views against what the Church through Pope Leo XIII said, "This, then, is the teaching of the Catholic Church ...no one of the several forms of government is in itself condemned, inasmuch as none of them contains anythi

  • While your at it, you should get a book on the life of Fr.Paul of Moll, who was kind of like the Padre Pio of the Benedictines in 19th century Belgium. He's only beuatified right now.

    Hello

What are some traditional Catholic prays for protection from ghost/spirits? Also, are there any physical protections designed...medallions, medals, Blessed Salt, Holy Water...?

    thx

This Traditional Litany is a most powerful prayer against the demonic.

    Litany of the Precious Blood

    Lord, have mercy on us.

              Christ, have mercy on us.

Lord, have mercy on us. Christ, hear us.

        Christ, graciously hear us.

    God the Father of Heaven,

        Have mercy on us.

God the Son, Redeemer of the world,

        Have mercy on us

    God the Holy Spirit,

        Have mercy on us

    Holy Trinity, One God,

        Have mercy on us.

With and by the prayer and company of all Your elect angels and saints, for and with us, unceasingly

Blood of Christ, only-begotten Son of the Eternal

    Father,

         save us.

Blood of Christ, Incarnate Word of God, save us.

Blood of Christ, of the New and Eternal Testament,

    etc. .

Blood of Christ, falling upon the earth in the Agony,

Blood of Christ, shed profusely in the Scourging,

Blood of Christ, flowing forth in the Crowning with Thorns,

Blood of Christ, poured out on the Cross,

Blood of Christ, Price of our salvation,

Blood of Christ, without which there is no forgiveness,

Blood of Christ, Eucharistic drink and refreshment of our spirits, souls and bodies,

Blood of Christ, river of mercy,

Blood of Christ, Victor over all evil spirits,

Blood of Christ, Courage of martyrs,

Blood of Christ, Strength of confessors,

Blood of Christ, bringing forth virgins,

Blood of Christ, Help of those in peril,

Blood of Christ, Relief of the burdened,

Blood of Christ, Solace in sorrow,

Blood of Christ, Hope of the repentant,

Blood of Christ, Consolation of those who mourn,

Blood of Christ, Peace and Tenderness of hearts,

Blood of Christ, Pledge of Eternal Life

Blood of Christ, our defense against all who desire us ill from afar or near alone or in a crowd,

Blood of Christ, most worthy of all glory and honor,

Lamb of God, Who takest away the sins of the world,

         Spare us, O Lord.

Lamb of God, Who takest away the sins of the world

         Graciously hear us, O Lord.

Lamb of God, Who takest away the sins of the world

         Have mercy on us.

    V. Thou hast redeemed us, O Lord, in Thy Blood, R. And made of us a kingdom for our God.

    Let Us Pray

Almighty and Eternal God, Thou hast appointed Thine only begotten Son Jesus Christ Our Only Lord and Redeemer of the world, and willed to be appeased by His Blood. Grant, we beseech Thee, that we may worthily adore this Price of our salvation, and through His power be safeguarded from the evils of this present life, so that we may rejoice in His fruits forever in Your Heavenly kingdom, through the same Christ Jesus Our Only Lord and Saviour Who lives and reigns with Thee in the unity and power of Thy Holy Spirit unto the endless ages of ages to come.

    Amen.
