  • I receive the following from a very good and dear friend of mine who is not a Catholic.   Make of it what you will.  The video starts off with a kind of rap song, but doesn't last long.

    Another 'coincidence' ?  I don't think so.

  • Very interesting citation, Nadir. Thank you.
Does the Code of Canon Law explicitly impose any duties on the penitent regarding whether he can reveal what has been said in confession?
Sorry, I have only just seen your question and noone else has answered it so....
I do not know Canon Law, but I have never in my lifetime ever heard that there is any duty on the part of the penitent to remain silent about what has been said in Confession.
Help of Christians, guard our land from assault or inward stain,
Let it be what God has planned, His new Eden where You reign.

  • There is not something set in stone but it is one of those things many priests do not like the penitent to discuss with others.

Young girls can be frightened into saying nothing about what a priest has suggested immorally (or worse) in the Confessional.

  • Donkath thank you, you point is true. Fr Koesk had told me the seal of confession applied to the penitent too he was always saying what ever conversation we had I wasn't allowed to tell my parents,  I have gotten into the rabbit hole of pizzagate because of what happened

It is the same as when boys were abused by paedophilic priests.  They are put under the same admonition.    Their parents did not know most of the time, and usually wouldn't believe them anyway.
And  a young girl had no way of even knowing how to tell a nun about it fearing their reaction.

  • This is a very sad situation and this kinda thing needs to be addressed how many others have been abused this same way? When attended grade school I was taught by the sisters of Mercy and these women knew no mercy. I remember telling my mother that this little girl had a clothespin placed on her lips the whole day and the little girl cried because her lips were turning purple. Of course, my Mother said "Sister knows what is best"  Part of the problem is Priest etiquette I was taught there is to be no familiarity between Priest and laity. I still try and follow this guideline and that was in 1965.

  • Francis Miller was not pushed out of Pensacola, but asked to leave, after several members observed first hand his many inconsistencies:

FACT: Francis Miller was in fact expelled as a Franciscan, yet still masquerades as a Franciscan.(indicated in the letter below)

I don't have an issue with this because if you're a sede then being expelled from the Novus Order OFM is a badge of honor. The other points you mentioned are disturbing, if true.
