  • One Hampton University student says she was surprised when an ordinary school task turned into an "embarrassing" nightmare. Melonna Clarke, 26, a senior dressed in a hijab, a headscarf that many Muslim women wear, waited in line to get her student ID during the first week of classes last month. When she reached the front of the line, the receptionist asked her to step aside. “She said I couldn't get my photo taken because I was wearing my head scarf,” Clarke told Yahoo Shine.

In fact, the only way Clarke could be photographed was if she removed the scarf or provided proof that she was a Muslim. “My reaction was, ‘Are you serious?’” said Clarke. “It was ridiculous, especially because Hampton is a multicultural university. It’s hard enough to walk out of my house every day to face prejudice.”

  • We should be proof enough.

But regardless, I wear my scapular.

  • One year at a previous job, we were allowed to leave early for Good Friday but as I was heading out my immediate manager started grilling me. So, I pulled out my rosary and recited a few Hail Mary's. That shut her up.

This question should be posed to Bishop Bergoglio.

Nothing more than a sting operation.  Let's play a game of embarrassing others by pretending to be something we're not.

NBC news has, in the past, paid for and set up a booth of muslims in full muslim gear at a NASCAR race with the sole intention of getting a negative response.  Luckily, they didn't get one but the dishonesty and the bias as modus operandi is too clear to be missed.

It would be like me donning a yarmulke, showing up at a non-Jєωιѕн funeral for a small child and walking around talking about how God blesses gentile children by bringing death to them as early as possible because the darkness of the dead is better than life as a gentile.  Then, after saying this and smirking at people the whole time, when someone punches me I can proclaim loudly the anti-semitism of others.  Naturally, leaving my provocations out of it.

  • Soooooo.... Muslim girl is traditional enough to not remove her headscarf for even a moment in order to have a picture taken.  But apparently it doesn't mean THAT much to her, considering that she's spending thousands and thousands of dollars and likely going into debt to have a career... right.  Got it.  Thanks.
"Be kind; do not seek the malicious satisfaction of having discovered an additional enemy to the Church... And, above all, be scrupulously truthful. To all, friends and foes alike, give that serious attention which does not misrepresent any opinion, does not distort any statement, does not mutilate any quotation. We need not fear to serve the cause of Christ less efficiently by putting on His spirit". (Vermeersch, 1913).

Yes.  There are lits of Methodists waling around in hijabs, after all.
