Being the computer illiterate that I am, I am wondering if perhaps I have missed something here on CathInfo.

Is the only way of knowing that you have a private message by logging in? Or is there a way to be notified?

I notice today, printed in red text on the right side, and next to the words "control panel" it says
messenger(1 new) but when I click this something comes up and says:
To use the private message system, you must be an established member.

So if someone is sending me a message, just to let you know I can'f for some reason get it, not sure when I will be an established member either. :cop:

I am going to send you a pm. Only if you are logged on will you see the far-right-hand corner with the word 'messenger' in red.

I have a restriction on brand-new members using the PM system --

We've had members sign up, and immediately send out spam to hundreds of our members here via PM. There's no other way to discourage this practice other than to make such members "wait a while" before using the PM system -- by then most spammers will have lost interest and moved on to other places (hopefully).

Oh! thanks for the post, now I know, BTW I am not a spammer, in fact I hate spam.

Whenever I am an established member, I think I'll go out and celebrate. Now I have something to look forward to. :jumping2:
