I beg you all to read this short book at the above link, on the many and wonderous benefits that the Holy Souls, by the providence of God, give to the people who offer many prayers and sacrifices for them. If we trully love as Jesus said we ought, I think we should do this. I've always told myself that I do not want to go to purgatory. I think this is a very good way to obtain this grace.

The pains of purgatory are like the pains of hell, except that those in purgatory know one day they will see God again. Millions of souls are enduring it this minute, and many of them only need ONE more Mass or prayer said, which often times is delayed for many years. This is all in the link above. Please read it. You absolutely cannot go wrong when you offer your sufferings for them. When they are released, they become your best friends, and never cease praying for you.

I wonder about those souls whom die in the Novus Ordo where most
prays have ceased for those that are in purgatory because it is no
longer being taught. They are mostly taught that most go to straight
to heaven when they die.
