Let's face it. No place is safe, except MAYBE your home if you dwell in a compound, away from others, are well-defended, and nobody in your home is off his rocker. This doesn't apply if you're white and live in South Africa.
The places you can't go and "feel" safe;
Walmart
Stop and Shop
McDonald's
JC Penney,
School on any level, daycare-grad school,
hotel, dormitory, campground, lean-to on a trail,
shopping mall,
Movie theater, play, concert,
Block party, backyard barbecue,
driving or riding in a vehicle,
Public transportation,
County fair, state fair,
Pub, nightclub,
Church or house of worship,
Hospital, the E.R. especially,
Military base,
Courthouse,
Post Office,
And now one cannot safely attend a festival celebrating the virtues of a lowly root vegetable!
I'm cancelling my reservations at Motel 6 for the Pittston Tomato Festival.
Speaking seriously, there is only one truly safe state; the state of grace. Make your act of contrition, go to confession, amend your life.
Then go anywhere that suits your state of life without fear.
