  • The Burning Man claimed a crowd of 55,000. This means that 55,000 have given their soul to the devil this past week-end. The celebration began as a hidden cult of Baal on the nude beach of Baker Beach in San Francisco back in the 70's, but now that it occurs in the Nevada Black Rock Desert, everyone I asked acknowledged the religious nature of the event. 55,000! This number have, though the occult ritual, offered its soul to the demons! This number represents an army division of the legions of hell.

The burning of the statue occurred Saturday night. The crowd then started appearing in Reno on Sunday. Their vehicles are distinguishable by the thin grey-colored dust of the desert. I saw familiar faces from the City at both the Whole Food Store and at Trader Joe's. They were replete from the week-long orgies, quietly sitting in their SUV's or at the door-step of their RV while some of their party was restocking in organic food. This was business as usual for the disciples of the new religion who were now returning home to the Bay Area, or Seattle, or Southern California, or East Coast New York. But among this routine, on Monday (for those stationed oversea, this Monday was Labor Day, a secular holiday in the USA) I also saw a different crowd, which might be a disturbing indication of future events to come.

I saw an international crowd, and particularly a crowd from the UK. Their rented RV's bore the Union Jack. This said crowd was gathered around the motels and the casinos. I saw groups of British men who were vigorous. They looked like soldiers. It is very well known that soldiers cater to the Golem here in Nevada. The hydrogen bomb is stocked north of Las Vegas (a short hour of jet-flight away from Reno), and the desert bares some mock Afghan villages for training in the djebel warfare. The Crown-Prince Harry of the House of Windsor who made some recent head-lines on the supermarket tabloids does not go to Las Vegas for play. He is here for warfare training. Was the participating to the demonic ritual of the Burning Man a part of warfare training for those British men who looked like soldiers?

Some of the casinos of Reno look like marble palaces, with swimming pools arranged as terraces surrounded with exotic vegetation. Many women! The delices of the palaces were surely a refreshment contrasting with the scorching heat of the Black Rock Desert of during this past week. I saw women in bikini swim-suit walking through the hallways, some were taking the elevators for reaching higher more private levels. I did not see the Prince, but I think that I saw some of his lieutenants.

On this Labor Day Monday, I saw an other very disturbing fact: The Reno Cathedral of Saint Thomas Aquina was closed! I usually go to spend the Monday afternoon to pray there. It is quiet, and I go there after a swim in the Truckee River. As a treat, there is a temporary display, for the Summer, of an exact replica of the Pieta standing on the right side of the sanctuary which is decorated with a one hundred year old fresco onto which is Saint Pius X. The Cathedral was closed! The parking lot was empty, and even the little SUV of Bishop Randolph Calvo was missing. The gate was closed, and on the little green lawn I saw the bronze statue of Saint Francis of Assisi who was most certainly praying his prayer "Lord make me a channel of Thy peace" for the statue had birds on it. It was quiet and deserted. I think that I saw the accursement of God upon the earth in a more defined way.

On the feast day of Saint Pius X, in front of the closed-up Cathedral, I felt very
    lonely.
Saint Pius X, pray for us.
