He is a fool. They are the ones who stopped teaching Latin. It is true that the "uneducated" of the past spoke and understood Latin. But, then what should we expect from them they are letting the Catholic faith die as well. They know longer teach it but the protestant mish-mash they have now. It is well that they do not have a united language to use but the garble and shrieks of the Tower of Babel. It matters not if one docuмent is understood by all as they make their own translations, pick what applies to their likes the rest they chuck out the window.
