Title: Pope Francis Says Prosletizing is Nonsense
Post by: bowler on October 01, 2013, 01:46:02 PM
From Catholic Family News, John Vennari

I have never done this before. I read Pope Francis’ latest La Repubblica interview and immediately recorded a brief audio commentary via YouTube. It was so ominous that I had to respond right away.  See link below.

There are disturbing statements on “proselytism is nonsense”; “follow your conscience”; and towards a more “collegial” and “synodal” Church structure, including Francis’ unqualified accolades to the modernist Cardinal Martini.
Any clear thinking Catholic could see from the beginning that Pope Francis was going to be a modern man of the new orientation, but these latest interviews reveal that he is worse than we thought.
I try to give some observations as well as corrective measures against Francis’ damaging statements. Oremus!

Proselytism is nonsense for Francis because he is not a member of the true Church. He is a member of the Vatican 2 anti-church. So if he converts someone to the anti-church they will still be damned so he is right to call proselytism nonsense because for him it is.

Didn't the Apostles proselytize? Maybe we shouldn't proselytize if it is unwanted.

I do not understand Mr. Vennari.  It's not as if there is anything new.  It's not as if every Conciliar pope has done the very same thing other than the fact that he's doing it through interviews rather than through books, Wednesday audiences, and other speeches.

Bergoglio is teaching the same thing Ratzinger, Wojtyła, and Montini taught.  His message is just getting more publicity because he's using the secular news media to spread his message.

But, after listening to Mr. Vennari's short talk, I see that he's still fully accepts Bergoglio's claim to the papacy.

Unwanted?

I think the proper way to look at it is Our Lord's command to preach and baptise and if people hear but do not believe, move on because those who do not believe are condemned.  No doubt the novus ordite echo chamber will say that this is what F - One meant by it.

Thats what I mean. If you attempt to proselytize, and people reject it then move on. If it was Ok then...it is Ok now. Yeah the Church has been established all over the world, but that doesn't mean everyone is Catholic.

Rome has lost the Faith.

Like I said all along, Bergoglio is the best thing that could happen in this chastisement, he is transparent, he is not a chameleon like B16. I look  those like Matt, Vennari, the EWTNers, the SSPX Pro- accord types, and Indult mass people, etc.  in the eye as they complain to me and I say nothing. Now, they are seeing what was always there. It'll take much more for them to be convinced that they were duped.

You guys got it all wrong.

He is being misquoted and taken out of context.

You all need to read more Jimmy Akin.

Move along, nothing to see here.

Quote from: Lepanto Again
"And I believe in God, not in a Catholic God, there is no Catholic God, there is God and I believe in Jesus Christ, his incarnation. Jesus is my teacher and my pastor, but God, the Father, Abba, is the light and the Creator. This is my Being. Do you think we are very far apart?"  -- "Francis"

Well, to answer his question, no.  I don't think they are very far apart at all.
