I don't mean to sound all quasi, as I don't do Indult either (I have, and even seen very nice ones, but I know they're still under the thumb of conciliarists), but BXVI and SummaPon was a breath of fresh air to me because before that, we had nothing "open" that even resembled what my grandparents would remember; we had indies and sort of secret diocesan Mass (what I grew up with), and a whole generation who'd never seen a real Mass but thought they were Catholic (and that the rest of us were evil sedes). I lived it.
And my kids came around the time of SummaPon and the Anglican ordinariate, which opened up some possibilities to us that we hadn't had before. I give BXVI credit for that much: people were finally able to, in their minds, wonder if "EF" was equal to "OF", see what they had LOST with V2, and KNOW there was an option that shouldn't be an option (a hint of the one ancient holy real Liturgy, or clowns that worship humanity).
And maybe that one breath of fresh air, plus EWTN before it nosedived, was a gift to a generation who had quit the conciliar church (NOT because they were evil, but because they knew the conciliar crap was feel-good BS). I know people seek out trad Mass now, so I see it as a miraculous gift to that generation who would otherwise know no better.
But indeed, it's time to pack it up and make people choose: do you want to raise your family in a bipolar go-with-the-flow conciliar parish, or find and become part of the Church Universal.
At least it will become clear that Frank's Mess and the Catholic Liturgy have NOTHING to do with each other. My oldest son had been considering the priesthood, and I was like, "Fine ...but not in the RCC." I was lambasted for that (he's still in secondary school, btw), but Frank's made my life a LOT easier these past few months. One almost wants to applaud him for being so Frank.
