    Exclusive interview with the Pope's envoy to the Marian shrine
    "The Medjugorje cult is authorized . It is not prohibited and must not take place sneaking. My mission consists precisely in analyzing the pastoral situation and in proposing improvements ", says Msgr. Henryk Hoser, archbishop of Warsaw-Prague in Poland, special envoy of Pope Francis for the pastoral care of the shrine of Medjugorje, in Bosnia-Herzegovina, place of alleged Marian apparitions that since 1981 has attracted millions of people.
    "From today, dioceses and other institutions can organize official pilgrimages. There are no more problems ", continues the archbishop in an interview granted to Aleteia in his residence in a district of Warsaw.

    "Pope Francis recently asked an Albanian cardinal to give his blessing to the faithful present in Medjugorje," he explains.[/font][/size]

    I am full of admiration for the work that the Franciscans do there . With a relatively small team - they are a dozen - they do a huge job of welcoming pilgrims. All summers organize a youth festival. This year there were 50 thousand young people from all over the world, with more than 700 priests.
    The confessions are massive. They have about fifty confessionals, which are not enough. They are very deep confessions.
    This is a phenomenon. And what confirms the authenticity of the place is the large number of charitable institutions that exist around the sanctuary . And another dimension: the great effort that is carried out at the level of Christian formation. Every year they organize congresses at different levels, for different audiences (priests, doctors, parents, young people, couples ...)
    The decree of the former Episcopal Conference of Yugoslavia of a time, which before the Balkan war advised against the bishops organizing pilgrimages to Medjugorje, is no longer in place.

    There are other cases of places of apparitions, such as Kibeho , in Rwanda, where the diocesan bishop granted the cult, from the beginning, and then continued the analysis for the recognition of the apparitions.
    Today the Medjugorie cult extends to 80 countries: it constitutes a huge network.

    The archbishop revealed that the Commission for the analysis of the apparitions of Medjugorje, which Benedict XVI had entrusted to Cardinal Camillo Ruini, would have given a favorable opinion:[/font][/size]

    • Well of course it needs to be approved. If the Mother of God could speak Vatican II heresy, then of course the Pope could. 

    This is just another approval of the Council. Remember, according to Medjugorje, all people are equals, we just sadly divide ourselves into our own religions.
