  • I recently saw this. Was this photo taken before or after the Motu Proprio promulgation?

  • I don't know when the photo was taken, but there has been so much false ecuмenism that has been harming Holy Mother Church all because of not truly following our Lord Jesus Christ. The Eastern Orthodox may have valid sacraments, but they cannot give them the life of grace, save of course those invincibly ignorant, which I do not know how many of those there are amongst them. Nonetheless, it is sad such schism has last for centuries, and now the Pope seems to ignore that. The Eastern churches in schism must return to Holy Mother Church though if they want salvation. It is so sad because the East has a lot to offer, although some things would have to go if the Eastern Orthodox churches were to ever return like any of their canonizations of their saints after 1054 most likely. Also, they would have to accept Scholasticism and Thomism as valid for explaining faith and morals as well as certain dogmatics definitions. Not much would really have to change for them though except a few things here and there.

  • The photo is from last November/December (2006) when the Holy Father made a trip to the Queen of Cities (Constantinople) to meet with the Ecuмenical Patriarch, Bartholomew I.  Make of it what you will, but that is the source/timing of the photo for those interested.  (In other words, it was quite a while before the motu proprio.)

  •  Always sad to see or hear about something like this. I guess we'd best keep at it...

I renounce any and all of my former views against what the Church through Pope Leo XIII said, "This, then, is the teaching of the Catholic Church ...no one of the several forms of government is in itself condemned, inasmuch as none of them contains anythi

  • Thanks for letting me know of what month this photo was taken. At least, it's nice to know this was before the Motu Proprio.

Oremus! Let's pray for the conversion of the Holy Father!

Why does that mean anything?  He just celebrated the anniversary of the Assisi apostasy post-Motu.
