If you are concerned about the plight of Haitians, you should skip a luxury, such as going out to a meal at a restaurant, and use the money that you save to donate to Food For the Poor (http://www.foodforthepoor.org/). 96 cents out of every dollar donated to them goes to help the poor in Latin America and the Caribbean.
