  • Opened my morning newspaper today and was greeted with the headline,

"POLAND PLANS TO PHASE OUT SUNDAY SHOPPING BY 2020
Poland's lawmakers on Friday approved a law that will phase out Sunday shopping by the year 2020 despite criticism that it may eliminate thousands of jobs.  Proposed by trade unions that want shop and trade workers to spend more time with their families, the bill got support from the ruling party that adheres to Catholic values.
There will, however, be some exeptions that will allow Sunday shopping before major holidays such as Christmas and Easter.
Also online shops and bakeries are to be exempted from the ban.  The bill still needs approval from the Senate and President Andrzej Duda."

Please God, let this spread.

"Let God arise, and let His enemies be scattered: and them that hate Him flee from before His Holy Face"  Psalm 67:2[/b]

  • Independence March in Poland: We want God - let's keep our countries Catholic!

    God bless Poland!
If anyone says that true and natural water is not necessary for baptism and thus twists into some metaphor the words of our Lord Jesus Christ" Unless a man be born again of water and the Holy Spirit" (Jn 3:5) let him be anathema.

  • The Catholic Herald reports: "In a statement, the Polish bishops’ conference said the bill did not go far enough, and that everyone should be free from work on Sundays."  See http://www.catholicherald.co.uk/news/2017/11/25/poland-to-phase-out-sunday-shopping-by-2020/

We should expect a reaction from world zionism and the international banksters, since the "children of the devil", fear a Catholic militancy movement, the most.

I wonder if "everyone " includes hospitals and firemen?  Hotels, gas, food outlets for those traveling?  I'm 110% behind retail being phased out but I hope their bishops conference is not being literal.
It is encouraging to see at least one country reclaiming a part of its heritage.

For the sake of our non-Polish reading members..... :)
It is heartening to hear that you have Polish ancestry! both of my parents were born in Poland but mom immigrated to southern France when she was four. The French Polish mix served me well.
Musimy spiewac koledy na ten forum w czasem Boze Narodzenie Panu Seanu!!! :applause: :jumping2:
With mom passing away this year, it will be a tough Christmas for this old polar bear. I know certain recordings of Polish koledy have the ability to reduce me to tears. Great joy but sorrow for those great Christmases of old that will never be seen again.
    Czuwaj!

    Response:

Yes, my grandparents are no longer alive, and the farm has been sold, so we can no longer gather there.  But what great memories!

I wise man once told me:

"Don't cry because it is gone, but smile because it happened."

We owe it to our families to give them those memories anew!

We must indeed carry on the family traditions as best as we can, especially those related to the holy seasons. Christmas time was a truly extraordinary time that I found one could tangibly sense with both body and soul.It was very much a Rivendell or Lothlorien: you felt as if you were stepping into a song, indeed the greatest Song. The Polish koledy flow from that Great Song.
I was always so depressed and filled with anxiety at the end of Christmas holidays as a kid.
And now another Advent comes upon our doorsteps.
I pray God grants the grace to meet you face to face, and not an internet darkly, dobry pan Seanowi!
