  • Poche came here to convert or bring us "schismatics" back into the fold.  Of course, he employed the passive-aggressive mealy-mouthed wishy-washy way that all good new churchers have mastered.  Now that that hasn't yielded much fruit for him these past 3 years or so, he is getting frustrated, his tones are becoming sharper, and what his true purpose is and what he really thinks of "traditional" Catholics is starting to show through with at least stronger hints.  His subtlety is beginning to erode at least in some minimal measure.

  • POCHE is not a troll.  He is a challenge.   We all meant his challenges.
And the proof is he has not won one single argument.
His most infamous posts in defending the novus ordo Priest who
claimed that Jesus had 2 Dads and a ton of bricks came down
on POCHE from all the replies.
Poche makes my day because he is an example of what really is
going on in the Church today.
He does get very high views on some of his threads such as Padre
    Pio.
He is typical of the confused Catholics in our times because the
teaching authority has been suspended and you can only find
    it in traditional sources.

He's not confused, he has been shown all the info he needs and he knows it all. He chooses to be Novus Ordo.

How could we possibly fail to accept "Francis" as supreme shepherd of the Roman flock, and Vicar of our Savior?  Who am I  to judge?

No, its postings are either augmented by--or completely the product of--a crude waaay-behind-the-times artificial-intelligence project.

That's why, when 'Neil Obstat' described sleazily disrespectful "Hispanic" males accompanying their "girlfriend(s)" to Mass in "The Valley" (namesake of the "Girls"), it matched that with "Spanish" and "girlfriend", resulting in a posting by 'poche' of a totally irrelevant message about a Spanish Catholic martyr's final letter before execution, which was addressed to his girlfriend.

But considering the appearance by 'poche' half a century after the famous Eliza/DOCTOR program
    • , this variation is arguably not even deserving of acceptance as a bachelor's thesis.

  •  :roll-laugh1:

The only thing that Pocheeeey character is lacking is a chicken leg in one hand and something bathed in butter in the other.  Add that and a button to make him blurt out tangential statements, and I'll believe it really is Poche.

He's never answered a single question I've asked him.

    Ever.

    He's hiding something.

I don't know that he is frustrated with us, but I am increasingly frustrated with the Novus Ordo Catholics.  I can no longer deal with their constant explaining away of Francis, Vatican II, and most recently the Vatican docuмent on the Jєωs.  There is a small minority in the NO who are beginning to see the light, but the others are clueless and blind and I am getting to the point where I think that they are choosing to remain so.  Perhaps similar to the apostles when they first preached the Gospel, we are to speak the Truth and then dust the sand off our feet. I think I will post a new thread about this and what others think and do with these souls.
For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders, insomuch as to deceive (if possible) even the elect. (Matthew 24:24)

He is relatively harmless to most of us here because his indirect side-talking methods are ineffective as to most people capable of assessing and thinking for themselves and such people make up a larger % of "traditional" Catholics than what is found in the general population.  That doesn't mean that his intentions and new church perspectives should be ignored, nor should he be dismissed as completely harmless.

He is evangelizing for new church, albeit ineffectively.  He is (not completely but for the most part) non-confrontational in his methods because he has been brainwashed to believe that that is the most effective (more modern world and new church hogwash).  He is trying as best he knows and as much as he thinks he can get away with here to "convert" us.  It irks me merely incrementally less than it would if a heretic of a protestant stripe was using his methods trying to convert me.

  •   I would not be worried about his opinions or his facts.
Let him be who he is and be kind. Let good example and
Christian love show the way as Jesus taught us and he
will come to see as Heaven shows him and as grace is
capable of healing him the way the Father upstairs can do.

Actually, I've never heard of a poche.

"poche" is Alt Französisch for "pocket" or "pouch".

Is he|she|it?  using that name to hide in plain sight?   As in the figurative expression "in the pocket of the Novus Ordo"?   Or "in the pocket of the Vatican"?   Or of the USCCB?

Or software that simulates human interaction, and runs on a computer or PDA or smart phone that fits in a pocket?

    What if he misspelled "poached"?

To my surprise, that English word is derived from Alt-Französisch "pochier", meaning "to place in a pocket", itself derived from "poche" (as in the posting above), e.g.: one containing boiling water for cooking.

Hmmm: The image you posted inspired a vision, in the style of a t.v. commercial, albeit one using a drier-&-higher-heat cooking method:
Close-up shot of a superficially pristine factory-farmed egg: "This is your soul."   Cut to close-up shot of a skillet over visible flames: "And this" -- craaack! siiizzzle! -- "is your soul obedient to the Novus Ordo."
