  • For those of you who belong to the CMRI/SSPV/Any Sede Group or Chapel:

Could I receive communion at your chapel within your organization if I reject Pius XII papcy, and only acknowledge Pius X as the last true catholic pope?

Note: I am not saying I have come to this conclusion yet, but I am leaving this option on the table as I am having extreme difficulties reconciling NFP with tradition.

  • I'm not a sede so this question obviously isn't aimed at me, but concluding that Pope St. Pius X was the last valid Pope is a rather extreme conclusion to make.
Please ignore ALL of my posts. I was naive during my time posting on this forum and didn’t know any better. I retract and deeply regret any and all uncharitable or erroneous statements I ever made here.

  • Pope Pius XII's encyclical that mentions NFP is not de fide. It is not a part of the Extraordinary Magisterium, if it is contrary to what was taught then you must disobey it. From what I understand however, he states it to be only used in extraordinary circuмstances. Do you have proof that it is contary to the faith in those circuмstances? If not you are acting like a Protestant. In fact your whole contention here is ludicrous and schismatic. St. Pius X was the last great Pope but he was not the last Pope.

You like the rest of the Sede's have the same False obedience that the Neo-Cath's have. As St. Thomas says in the Summa, a Schismatic attitude leads to heresy through attempting to justify the schism.

  • I think in most circuмstances the benefit of the doubt would be given to the pope.
Many traditionalists (traditio for one) recognize John XXIII as a true pope. I don't think he was but he didn't make it obvious as did Paul Vi with his new Bugnini mass and John Paul II with his ecuмania.

Referring to Franco Bellegrandi, he said that much of the hierarchy had become openly disobedient to Pius XII. Regardless, if you went over every detail of every popes life how many would be considered anti-popes if you have unrealistic expectations.
