Pilgrimage Suggestions Please
« on: January 07, 2011, 02:04:18 PM »
Hi everyone - I am going on a self-made pilgrimage tour of Europe this September and I was wondering if you could all recommend places to go?  So far this is what I plan to see:

St Bernadette's relics
Ars (where the Cure lived)
St Pio
Various places associated with St Joan of Arc
Lisieux
Loreto (to see the Holy House)
Lourdes
Avignon (to see the Papal palace)
Assisi and Gubio
Ephesus

I will be visiting Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, England, Greece, Turkey, Austria and anywhere else you might suggest.

I will be spending two months on the trip.

Thanks in advance.

Those places are also on my dream pilgrimage list as well as:

Fatima
La Salette
Sacre Coeur Basilica, Paray-le-Monial, France;
The Chapel of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal in Paris;
Montecassino, the monastery of St. Benedict;
and as many of the incorrupt saints as I could see.

At my age, I may never go on a pilgrimage. All I can do
is look at videos, and photos, and read articles of people
that went on pilgrimages.
I use to have two oil paintings that were over 75 years
old of the the Lourdes site. They were stolen from my
apartment in a break in year and a half ago. So far,
never recovered.
