  • A 44-year-old in this area just died from CV. I didn't know him, but one of the moms in our homeschool group did. Her husband and he played basketball together.

  • People with weak bodies will develop symptoms from COVID19, but if you have at least moderate fitness, you won't even know you're infected.
P.S. Going to a gym to lift weights or another heating & air conditioned environment to do mall karate isn't fitness. You best be gettin' your heart rate up for at least 20 minutes / 4 days a week.

  • Considering how rapidly we are told CV is spreading and how the infections and deaths are exploding, I am wondering:

Does anyone here actually know a single person or people with CV, alive or, +RIP+, dead?  I am just wondering because I do not, nor have I seen posts on CI or FB, etc., discussing cases involving people known to the one who is posting, commenting, etc.

For clarity: I know that it has been reported that Tom Hanks, for example, has or had CV.  I know who Hanks is, of course, but I do not know him personally.  I know of no one with whom I have crossed paths in my four-plus decades on earth who has CV.  I am a fairly well-traveled, experienced and socially-active person, yet...zero.  Perhaps that will change, even incalculably, before all is said and done, but, as of now...zero.

I'd love to hear testimony to the contrary.  Thank you.
I could be wrong, but I believe I have it.

I've had a bad cough since last Saturday, and a more mild cough (indistinguishable from a cold) before that.  Its kind of on and off at this point.  I've had sore throats a couple times here and there.  Also have had generic cold symptoms, runny and stuffy nose, etc.  But the cough has been always there (albeit sometimes inactive for an hour or whatnot) for over a week.

My family members have had other Covid symptoms though.  My entire family is somewhat sick.  One sibling had a fever, the other had shortness of breath.  Both my parents also have fevers.  Also its very rare that everyone in our family gets sick, all our immune systems are strong and the oldest person in the house (my dad), is 50.

That being said since none of us has *all* the symptoms, we can't really get tested.  My brother ,who had more symptoms than me, called the doctor and asked.

So yeah I think we all have it.

Very strange, this thing.  No known underlying conditions here.  Meanwhile, a 101-year-old in Italy recovered.  There's some unknown factor that needs to be understood, a deficiency in some vitamin or mineral.  Also, I've read reports that people with "A" blood types seems to be more prone to developing the serious cases.  In many cases, the cause of death is from an OVER-reaction of the immune system, which leads to the phenomenon of cytokeine storm.  There was an NIH study which demonstrated that nicotine, of all things, suppresses cytokeine storm.  So is this discussion of smokers being more prone just made up out of thin air?

Thank you for kindly sharing, particularly as you are likely (and understandably) worried.  I pray that you are wrong.  I don't know what sort of diet you follow, but I would personally make some cayenne pepper-spiked homemade lemonade and drink copious quantities.  It kicks a** against a lot of little troublemakers in your system.  Water, fresh-squeezed lemon juice, honey/maple syrup and as much cayenne powder as you can comfortably stand...all you need.  I am no doctor, to be sure, but it will definitely not harm you.  Your call, of course, but you may count on my prayers and (I trust) the prayers of the other CI members who read this.

    I agree with this prescription.

  • Today I found out that a traditional Catholic friend is asking for prayers for her cousin who along with her husband has been confirmed positive for cv.  The husband is on oxygen (not a vent).  Also another trad friend of mine is showing symptoms (shortness of breath and fever and coughing).  He will be tested tomorrow (3/30).  Please pray for him also.  Thanks!

  • If it's true, one of the symptoms is loss of smell and taste. That is also a symptom of zinc deficiency. it would make sense to take zinc considering the mineral is supposed to stop viral replication. Zinc is potentiated by Vit C as well.
Re: the cytokine storm,  an immune modulator like Vit D sounds like a good idea. Keeping Vit D blood levels between 50-80 is great. the best way to get Vit D is exposing skin to sun for 15 minutes which naturally produces 25.000 iu's. I don't get a lot of sun, but I supplement with 8.000iu's a day but it is important to get a Vit D level if you can.
I think I've mentioned this before, but there is a direct correlation between a recent history of a vaping lung disease caused by black market products of nicotine or THC which are prevalent. It seems that the oil used in the product is causing the "ground glass" fluid filled chest xrays. Whether this is an isolated symptom of vaping, or it is somehow compounded by the virus, or the vaping oils are contaminated with it, young people vaping  were getting sick with this phenomenon for over 5 months in the US. before the onset of coronavirus.

Thank you.  I've been suspecting a zinc deficiency myself here.

I had symptoms about 10 days ago now.  Started with sore throat, then went to a dry cough with fever.  I took tons of Vitamin C (30 grams per day divided throughout the day), Vitamin D, selenium (known to thwart viral replication), zinc, copper, and just a general multi-vitamin.  Everything cleared up in about 3 days.

Loss of taste and smell can be one of the very first symptoms of corona.

Loss of smell occurs with the common cold and other viral infections of the nose and throat. Anecdotal reports suggest the loss of smell may be one of the first symptoms of COVID-19. Doctors around the world are reporting that up to 70% of patients who test positive for the coronavirus disease COVID-19 — even those without fever, cough or other typical symptoms of the disease — are experiencing anosmia, a loss of smell, or ageusia, a loss of taste. A new study just published found that 20 of 59 patients (ages 50-74) interviewed in Italy reported a smell or taste loss.

That malaria drug chloroquine is thought to work because it channels zinc into cells.
    https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4182877/

I think they're starting to use chloroquine + zinc in Italy.

This would also explain why men are more effected, since more zinc is burned up by men ... as the body uses it to create testosterone and sperm, so men tend to be more deficient in zinc.
    https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6010824/

Reports from China indicated that corona attacked the male testes and caused infertility.

If you have the zinc, folks, I would start taking it.

  • This states that excessive male sɛҳuąƖ activity could deplete zinc ..
    https://www.healthaid.co.uk/healthaid-blog/could-it-be-zinc-deficiency

So could there be at least some correlation between impure behavior by men and the corona impact?

Also it states that high sugar in the diet depletes zinc.  You there, Croix, with one of your new accounts?

Yes, I think it had something to do with the vitamin E oil base used in the THC juices in particular.  Nicotine just by itself is proven to disrupt cytokeine storm.
