  • I just wanted (for the present) to make a short, general apology.  I beg your pardon and God's for my truly reprehensible behavior during the last two weeks.  Such things happen for a reason.  With time and God's grace, I hope to profit from this lesson in the way He desires.

I will make a much more specific apology in the days ahead, after which I intend to retire from public discussion boards.  I will not be dealing with (or even reading) the vast majority of recent comments.  I will only be addressing my own comments/conduct, seeking no further controversy or animosity.  Whatever may have been said to me or about me in recent days/weeks -- even IF any of it was remotely 'negative,' which I neither know nor presume is the case -- I am fully cognizant that my own behavior naturally elicited such responses.  Still, knowing the caliber of CI members, I am sure most of you have only offered your advice/perspective out of a true desire for the common good and/or my welfare.  Although I got angry with some of you and acted as I should not have, I assure you that such feelings are NOT part of my abiding disposition in your regard.  I wish all of you well, now and always.  Among the few posts I read earlier, I did see that Mr. John Lane is reopening his forum.  I wish him and BF well.  May the discussions at BF and CI be, and always remain, beneficial and edifying.  If, over the years, I have said anything useful to anyone, God alone be praised.

Please pray for me, knowing that you will all be remembered in my own prayers.  Godspeed.

Mater, this is my thought exactly and this is also my prayer for you, GV.

Peace of soul is such a precious thing that we must guard at all costs, lest the loss of our peace of soul lead to our eternal peril.

Friends, I have a personal story to share with anyone who would like to listen. It is something that helped to shape who I am today, many years later.  It is also a story that has had a tremendously positive impact on my family and for that I am so grateful, because without Our Lady's help this experience would not have had a happy ending and I shudder at the thought of what could have been.

    So here is my story:
When I was much younger, I realized with great fear that I had lost my peace of soul due to anger at a certain person who had stolen something of great value from a very dear friend.  Because of this theft, my friend lost his own peace of soul, became a very angry person and lost his Faith and due to all of this I my anger festered in me and grew.  Every time I said the Our Father and got to the part "forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us", I realized that I had to deal with my own anger and I had to forgive the thief lest I lose my own soul.  I couldn't bring myself to pray for the thief, so I asked Our Blessed Mother and my angel for help.  That's where I began and that's where I continued until with Our Lady's help I said my first prayer for the thief.  It was not easy, but the next time was slightly easier and the next time after that and so on.

Why do I share this personal story with strangers?  Dear friends in Jesus and Mary, we must guard our peace of soul, we must pray for those with whom we are angry.

We must gain heaven at all costs.

Guard your peace of soul and if you lose it do not blame anyone else for the loss but begin at once to beg Our Blessed Mother for her help.
