My family travels to Mexico every year to visit relatives. In recent years we haven't been able to go due to money problems, but this year we're planning on going.
We now need passports to go into Mexico, even though we have dual citizenship.
I'm probably going to end up getting a passport, but I want to know if there is any reason I shouldn't?
Do they take fingerprints? Are they going to check my online activities? (I'd be royally screwed if that were the case)
-
I don't see why they would check your online activities. Yes, you will probably be fingerprinted.
If you don't want to get a passport, I don't know the reasons why someone wouldn't want one, you can take a plane down to the border and drive across the border. I heard you don't need one if you're traveling by land until 2008. I could be in Mexico right now, unfortunately my friends are flakes lol.

What does it matter that they monitor our online activities? I would not be surprised if they were doing that now, but that should not make us stop persevering in the Catholic faith.

The new passports will have a chip in them. I do not know if this policy is in effect everywhere yet, but it will be shortly if it is not.
-
if you have dual citizenship why not get a Mexican passport instead?
-
Well, I'm going to Mexico, unless someone can give me a good reason I shouldn't.
We aren't going by plane, we're drivin'! Get to see all the sites along the way. Maybe I'll stop in Austin, Texas and say hi to Teo. :p
Just kiddin' Teo, but maybe someday my friend and I will visit.

Be careful I hear that the Aztec's are making a comeback.

I ain't goin that far south. I'm going to a place that would only be affected if the Villistas came back.

I hope you can speak loudly as Teo lives in San Antonio, not Austin. :laugh1:

Oh, my bad. But we go through San Antonio too.
