  • Sorry for the cryptic title, I'm just worried that the masons in the Vatican are reading Cathinfo and I wouldn't want to tip them off to any decent Cardinal that might happen to find his way into the Papal Chair.

Been reading up on the Archbishop of Genoa and I like what I read.

"Bagnasco – Angelo Bagnasco is Italian born and for this former Arch Bishop of Genoa this is a plus since over half (175) popes have been historically favored by the conclave because they were Italian born. Twice Bagnasco headed the Italian Bishops Conference and because the conference holds about one quarter of the seats in the conclave, the chance that a good number of votes will be cast for him is very great.

Because millions of Catholics are now chomping at the bit for the papacy to loosen up on social issues like same sex unions, gαy marriage, abortion and contraception, Bagnasco may be seen as an obstacle to liberalization. His strong moralism and stand against same sex marriage and civil unions has produced several death threats and now he is accompanied by body guards for his own protection.

Vatican watchers may have to give in to the fact that the good old boys of the Bishops Conference may not have enough clout to carry Bagnasco to the top. The clamoring catholic progressives and the drive of prophetic fulfillment, which cannot be stopped, are likely to leave this top pick – un-chosen."

  • I'm afraid that if he was any good, he would have been purged a very long time ago.

Just as there was only one good bishop (+ABL) out of all the bishops of the world - and he was purged instantly, the same can be said in regards to all the hierarchy - and priests too for that matter........... Father Michael Rodriguez from El Paso, TX is the latest victim that comes to mind..........he is only one from a long line (+40 years worth) of priests who were good - and therefore unwelcome.

We know for certain that whoever gets elected has gotten to where he is today by being modernist, not traditionalist.

Biffi was one of the cardinal electors who participated in the 2005 papal conclave that selected Pope Benedict XVI. According to a leaked diary, he received one vote on the fourth ballot. In 2008, he turned 80 and lost the ability to participate in future conclaves.

    Hmmmmm.  Not a good sign.

  • Itll be the Peter guy from Africa.

They want to fulfill the prophecy (even though the prophecy is very problematic in authenticity or veracity of its claims) and somehow bring about the "end".

I'd still say that if he was any good, he would have been purged a long time ago. After +40 years, the enemy has eliminated all obstacles and  infiltrated all of the highest places of the Church - shoot, they purged probably 99% of the good clergy before 1975. They had to.

If there are any exceptions that have managed to remain under the Modernist's radar these last 4 decades, and there aren't, but if there are, the best that we could hope for would be that maybe a few compromisers are still around and maybe one of them gets elected.

I know some folks talk about this cardinal or that prelate being elected - but whoever gets elected will have been Novus Ordo, perhaps for the last 40 years - and certainly will not be one who has done anything to help stop this crisis - because if he ever tried to do anything about this crisis, he'd have met the same fate as +ABL, not to mention the 1000s of other clergy who were purged for rejecting the NO.

Who here can deny that every single member of the clergy who has ever raised their voice against V2 and the NO have been consistently purged from the ranks - this has been going on since V2.
