That's the closest thing I could find on a rendering for the new Panama statue.

As you should be able to see, it's from Herald Malaysia reporting on the Panama
story, and it has no word of any confirmation that the image, above, is authentic
or in any way representative of what is being planned in Panama.

IOW: I don't know.

Speaking of statues, and their being or not being......

In case you've ever seen an empty NICHE in a wall, and have wondered, "What
do you suppose that niche is for?" imagine this beautiful statue missing here:

Because that's exactly what is likely to take place, since the building this niche is
in has recently been abandoned, because the land it's on was leased, and now
the religious order which has been operating there for almost a century has moved
out, leaving the niches and the contents of niches behind. The statues are probably
not "modern" enough to be of any use for them in their "new" place.

In the sketch, IF this is the idea, this Mary does not have her foot on a snake. I have noticed concrete, outdoor Mary's in just this way, no snake. It makes me wonder? She is crowned in the sketch, that is a good start.

off beat abit, but true story:

Late 70's, we got a modernist priest.....shortly afterwards, the altar rail and kneeling for communion went out the window.

Then, we were told the statue of the BVM need "repairs" and cleaning

Months went by, no statue.....

after several complaints, the near life sized statue was replaced by a small, uglier statue......

said preist told us that it was the same one!! then state that somehow, the statue was broken, a replacement sent.....this after no one, even his fawners bought the excuse.

finally, said statue and alcove just disappared......BVM shuntered off to some side area, out of site/mind.....

He was, yes, that arrogant to think we all were that stupid.........

was much longer when 300+ families, including mine, walked out....

Voting with one's (or the many) feet is indeed most effective, or at least noticeable.
