    Some royals join communists?
    Some women become Mormons?
    Some Westerners follow Taliban?
    Some men leave leave their patriarchal religion to worship
    ''goddess Anahita''?

    Whenever I hear about such people I doubt we are self-seeking creatures.
    Any thoughts?

    It can't be proven that people are completely selfish - it's pretty much a tautology that comes from certain assumptions about human nature.
