  • I know that irony (contrast) is the foundation of most humor, but it seems that certain jokes are over-used, nevertheless.

    How many TV shows have used a variation of this joke? (Or even multiple instances in a single movie)

    "...and I found myself with a lot of time to read and improve my mind. So I read many books, including the Summa, Encyclopedia Brittanica, and Charlotte's Web."

    "He listens to Mozart, Bach, and Britney Spears."

    ...and so forth. Get the pattern?
