  • Here is an article that relates the story of Our Lady of Prompt Succor.

I am trying to find the propers for the Mass of Our Lady of Prompt Succor.  The CMRI has a commemoration of this Feast on the Sunday Mass for Jan 15.  This Feast is not in any of my daily Missals, as it it not on the Universal Calendar.  I have not been able to find it online.  Perhaps someone could find it for me and post it.

    Thank you
    Mariae Nunquam Servus Peribit

  • Here is the formulary for the Mass for the Feast of Our Lady of Prompt Succor, taken from a Supplement for the proper Feasts kept in the Dioceses of the American Republic found in The Saint Andrew Daily Missal with Vespers for Sundays and Feasts by Dom Gaspar Lefebvre, O.S.B., and the Monks of the Abbey of St. Andrew (Saint Paul, MN: The E. M. Lohmann Co., 1959).

  • Note how appropriate is the occurrence of this Feast with the Second Sunday after the Epiphany of Our Lord, for they both share the same Gospel Lesson which narrates the first public miracle wrought by Our Lord and Our Lady's only public pronouncement recorded in the Sacred Gospel: "Whatsoever He [that is, Our Lord Jesus] shall say to you, do ye" (St. John ch. ii., 5).

Is this not a marvelous summary of the message Our Blessed Mother would give again and again, not only by her illustrious examples in her most admirable life, but also, having been assumed unto Heaven, in her benevolent visitations to her children? The message of Our Lady of the Rosary at Fatima is nothing more than a celestial echo of those immortal words: Quodcuмque dixerit vobis, facite.

Note also the beauty and theological depth of the Collects, and how devotion to Our Lady as it ought to be is presented and summarized so wondrously by Holy Mother Church in these hallowed prayers.

Please pray to Our Lady of Prompt Succor especially for this intention:

I implore you, in the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary, to continue to pray for Mrs. Tracy Miller, an exemplary Catholic wife and mother of seven children, who has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer. She is scheduled to undergo surgery on the 18th of January.

Please also be mindful of her husband, children and the rest of her family, that they may bear and offer this Cross together with Mrs. Miller in filial self-abandonment to Divine Providence, and with such sentiments and volition so as to make them worthy of benedictions and graces that exceed their desires and far surpass the anxieties and fears that assail them.
Please ignore all that I have written regarding sedevacantism.
