    This is a fairly heavy solid-plaster statue of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel holding the Christ Child.

    Pretty sure it was hand-painted; that was done many years ago, as the paint has taken on that certain shade and patina that only old paint has.

    This statue was outdoors, probably in a garden or flowerbed. I have made no attempts to clean it at all. It is lovely the way it is, since it came from the home of a devout Catholic lady who loved it for many years.
