Here in Northeast Ohio, we're well on the way.
As of November 4th, the trees have lost no more than 25% of their foliage. Same thing happened last year, but not quite as late. When we first moved to our current house about 4 years ago, by Halloween, we were down to the the last "cleanup" leaf pickup. It's still in the mid- to upper- 50s. We have rarely had snow before Christmas the past few years. And we have been getting heavy snow showers well into the middle of April. April to nearly mid-May have been freezing cold. I know because my kids play soccer, and we had a disproportionate number of Spring games where the temperature was barely above freezing. It's as if all the seasons have shifted a month or so to the right.
Also, we no longer have a Spring. We go directly from the 40s into the 80s. We transition directly from running the heater to running the air conditioner. This past summer, every single day was at 90 degrees. When I was a kid, we would get ONE WEEK every Summer, usually in late July or early August where it was into the low 90s. We're still getting a bit of a Fall, however ... but no Spring to speak of.
