  • Is this person an ordained Priest ?  the reason I ask is while attending a funeral rosary the Priest, Father Oscar Saavedra did not seem to know or was having trouble with the rosary.  At the funeral Mass Mr. Saavedra seemed to not know what to do from one minute to the next as he peered under his arm and over his shoulder several times.  He, Father Saavedra, never offered condolences or mentioned the deceased person by name.  It seemed to most in attendance that Mr. Saavedra was pre occupied and not there in spirit, heart or just plian did not want to be bothered.  Unfortunitaly the joy of someone going to the heavens was diminished by Mr. Saavedra

  • Were there alot of noncatholics there, or people not dressed like catholics?  This could make a priest feel uncomfortable.

Why did you ASK  if he is an ordained priest, and then proceed to call him "Father" .... but also call him "Mr." three times?

Why don't you address any concerns you have directly to Father Saavedra, who is the only person that can answer you about the problems you have with how he reportedly handled things.

Are you a Protestant or a Novus Ordite? Do you believe in Purgatory?

  • All were Catholic and well dressed.  The Priest, Father Saavedra just did not appear to be geninue in his actions and seemed not to know the Mass itself, as he stumbled through.  Father Saavedra at one point made a statement that was not correct but a fabrication of his concern to the astonishment of the family gathered in his Church.

There are approximately 3000 miles between myself and Father Saavedra.  I was hoping some one knew of him and could enlighten me on who he is and why he stands accused of being a bagman for the VoV.

You are the one who states that you were there. So we can't help you about your alleged concerns about what he supposedly did wrong.

There are way more that 3000 miles between you and me and we are managing to communicate. Father has an address you can write to, or maybe he even  has an email address. Hey maybe he is really high-tech and even has a telephone, and you could call him.

I am going to assume that's the same person.

See? Even an old goat like me is tech-savvy enough to find out things like that.
This evil of heresy spreads itself. The doctrines of godliness are overturned; the rules of the Church are in confusion; the ambition of the unprincipled seizes upon places of authority; and the chief seat [the Papacy] is now openly proposed as a rewar

May I ask, what is an Independent Affiliation ?
Last week Fr. Oscar Saavedra was the pastor of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church in Fraser, Michigan with no phone number.  A very seceretive Priest to say the least or possibly an impostor.

St. Clares was sold by Bp/Fr. Dolan/Cekada in 2010. At that time, it had no pastor. This is old information.
It would be comparatively easy for us to be holy if only we could always see the character of our neighbours either in soft shade or with the kindly deceits of moonlight upon them. Of course, we are not to grow blind to evil

He has email and an iPhone. That doesn't mean he'll talk to you.

  • Father Saavedra is a good priest.  Since you stated that your deceased friend/family member is enjoying heaven, you obviously are not Catholic.  Thus your opinion on a priest or the Mass has no merit.
