I wonder if Pope Francis will offer Communion to Patriarch Bartholomew.  I am certain the Patriarch will refuse if he does.  If this plays out in public, it will be interesting to watch.

Are there some among the Orthodox who will condemn Patriarch Bartholomew for this act of ecuмenism?

Most definitely, yes.  The Greek Old Calendarists will be mad.  The Greek Ephraimite monasteries will not like it, but may not say much.  ROCOR will be very annoyed.

I think he's also inviting a rabbi to his "installation Mass", right?

What a Judaizer!

Well, lots of people will be invited, including our own VP, who is hardly a paragon of Catholic orthodoxy.  I don't mind the Patriarch, the Rabbi, or the VP being there.  I will mind if the Pope offers the Blessed Sacrament to non-Catholics.
