While deleting the posts of Cupertino, I unintentionally deleted ALL guest posts!
I guess he got one last stab from beyond the grave...

Now some might say it's not a huge loss -- and maybe they're right!

At any rate, I didn't mean for it to happen, I'm sorry it happened, and it won't happen again.

I did a backup just last night, but without boring you with technical details, it would take a lot of work (programming/script writing) to restore those Guest posts.

For the Guest posts we've seen so far? Not worth 5 minutes of my time, nevermind the 2 or 3 hours it would take.

So the threads in the Anonymous sub-forum look like Swiss cheese right now.

You're all more than welcome to pick them up where you left off -- the good ones, at least.

Be my "guest".

So you're not going to point me to one single bad guest post, that illustrates how the Anon subforum is a cesspool?

Oh well...

I am of that opinion because some guests use that forum specifically to attack posters personally rather than to converse about our religion.

Take for example the Thread about Sedevacantist Priest Father Ramolla - read the entire thread and find something of value in it.

Or the thread about Tele's Girl - I mean who cares about that stuff.

Maybe others find value in getting personal or in Detraction or Calumny merely because you may disagree with certain posters - but to do so anonymously or to post things with the express reason to create discord is to make the effort into a cesspool of sin rather than an uplifting debate which should in charity benefit both parties when completed.

I would have to agree with Malleus that the anonymous guest forum has become a cesspool. It wasn't like that at first, but now it's either corny threads or pure slanderous threads.

The only threads I really like in the section are the "To so-and-so" and "Questions for so-and-so" threads.

The threads you mention have no guest posts in them. Please show me an ANONYMOUS post that matches your description.

Behavior of members is a whole different matter -- it certainly doesn't affect the "cesspool" status of the Anonymous subforum in particular.
