  • I've never heard of the crimson roselle, but they are really beautiful birds. It's interesting how they use their claws to help eat the food (in the video).

We too have had birds, mainly robins, eating our grass seed. I've had to re-seed the lawn. It's been quite dry here too.
Yes, Meg, the Crimson Rosellas are very beautiful birds and come in several variations of colouring.
We have also many of the multicoloured Eastern Rosella flying around our neighbourhood. Here is a Vivid close up of Eastern Rosella's Colourful plumage - YouTube. Of course you don't need 5 mins to observe them.

And this 7 mins clip is quite amusing to watch and shows several different varieties cooling off, bathing and drinking.

Help of Christians, guard our land from assault or inward stain,
Let it be what God has planned, His new Eden where You reign.

Good videos! The first video really shows off the color of the Eastern Rosella, and the second video does a good job of showing the interesting behavior of the birds in the water. They share the water, for the most part, but they are also a bit territorial.
"It is licit to resist a Sovereign Pontiff who is trying to destroy the Church. I say it is licit to resist him in not following his orders and in preventing the execution of his will. It is not licit to Judge him, to punish him, or to depose him, for these are acts proper to a superior."

  • Yikes!  There were two white squirrels in our yard when we moved in. They disappeared not long after.

Matto passed away?  When did that happen?!   I haven't been on here for some time.  Obviously I've missed a lot!
